KITS is not a computer software but a tutor directed computer- assisted tutoring (TDCAT) program that enahnces students problem solving ability to help the student reach a mutually agreed goal based on the deep understanding of the student’s leaning style and work habits. - The tutors review the lessons and supplement instructions with some re-teaching materials in the areas the students experience difficulty
- Each student focus on his/her ILP and use the STUDY mode to receive immediate feedback,
- Each student is directed (when ready) by a tutor to take a post test to document progress.
- A score higher than 80% indicates mastery, shown by a green checkmark next to the standard
- Each student proceed to next standard or concept if score is greater than 80%
