Kanmas College Readiness Program -SAT Prep and Tutoring
Kanmas SAT Tutoring is a private or small group academic support designed to fill the academic gaps to empower higher proficiency and performance in SAT testing. Students work on their individualized plan with friends or peer mentors for high performance.
Kanmas SAT Prep Courses- SAT remains the best independent measure of a student's college readiness and used by majority of universities for admission and scholarship purposes. The program also helps students gain confidence through repeated practicing SAT type questions. Kanmas SAT Pre Courses meet 6 hours per week for 3 weeks. Classes are held on Saturday mornings and evenings starting from August/September to prepare for the October/November exams. The course can also be done online or on location. Kanmas will ensure that each child will receive the best help available to improve his/her SAT score. The course is offered at a very low fee, less than 50% of Kanmas regular charges. The fee will cover:
- All course and testing materials
- All SAT mock tests and practice questions, all from real SAT tests
Techniques and practices for developing critical thinking skills for high achievement
- Technique for developing academic performance skills. including note taking, tests taking and problem solving skills
- One SAT free repeat opportunity if not satisfied for score in the registered test

Course Outline
Week 1:
Introduction; Test-taking Techniques Review, Diagnostic Assessment; college admission requires and SAT requirements and expectations, academic character development, dealing with Math and exam anxiety; Practice Problems, Homework Assignments,
Problem Solving and Math Review 1 (Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry); Multiple-Choice Math Techniques and practice
Test 1 - Practice SAT at Home or at the Center
Week 2:
Problem Solving and Math Review 2 (Rate/Time, Advanced Math, Proportion, Statistics Review); Student-Produced Response Questions; Sentence Completion One-Blank and Two-Blank Ideas and Techniques
Critical Reading, analytical reasoning skills: Short and long passages; precise writing; Comparisons, and Long Passage Techniques; The SAT Essay: Strategy and Writing Format
Test 2 - Practice SAT at Home or at the Center
Week 3:
Grammar Review 1; Improving Paragraphs Ideas, and Techniques, sentence structure, fluency and comprehension; SAT Essay Writing
Grammar Review 2: Sentence construction Ideas and Techniques; SAT Essay Writing, critical Reading, and Writing Techniques; Wrap Up

Important Information About U.S. Registration
- U.S. deadlines apply to students testing in the United States, U.S. territories, and U.S. commonwealths
- U.S. registration materials that are mailed must be postmarked by the U.S. deadlines.
- On March 13, only the SAT is offered.
Registering Late
If you are testing in the United States, U.S. territories, or U.S. commonwealths, and you miss the registration deadline, you still have time to submit a registration, but you must pay a late fee. Note that late registrations made by mail have a different deadline from those made by phone or online.
