U.S. Physics Team Program is sponsored by the American Association of Physics Teachers and the American Institute of Physics to represent US each year at the International Physics Olympiad Competition. The primary purpose of the team is to demonstrate academic excellence through preparation for and participation in the International Physics Olympiad. One goal of U.S. Physics Team and the competition is to "encourage excellence in physics education and to reward outstanding physics students." KESC Science Program has designed physics GATE curriculum to prepare students who may want to be selected into this elite team. The KESC Physics Academic Acceleration Program prepares students to seat and pass Physics Olympiad Screening Exam which is used each year to help select members for the United State Physics Team. Academic Acceleration Program classes for Physics Olympiad include Honors Physics, AP Physics B, AP Physics C, and Physics Olympiad problem solving using past USA Physics Olympiad qualifying examination questions.
