KESC Academic Enrichment Acceleration Mathematics program..

This program provides a solid and essential preparation from pre- algebra to Calculus and to better prepare high school students for Science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) career. KESC program strategy is designed to improve student analytical, thinking and quantitative reasoning, and problem solving skills. KESC pre-calculus curriculum is aligned with the school district curriculum and based on state and the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics standards and recommendations.

The content of the Pre-calculus class includes:

Numbers, Number Systems and Number Relationships

Linear and Non-Linear Equations and Inequalities

Cartesian Coordinate System

Linear, Quadratic, Polynomial and Rational Functions

Computation and Estimation; Measurement and Estimation

Mathematical Reasoning and Connections
